Report impact supporters can trust

Geo-anchored, evidence-based reporting for funders, frameworks and the public.

What is impact reporting for restoration and conservation projects?

Impact reporting is how a project communicates what it has achieved, to funders, regulators and the public, with evidence to back it. Strong impact reporting goes beyond a narrative of activities to show measurable outcomes and link them to verifiable data such as satellite imagery and geo-anchored field records. Done well, it lets the reader check the claims rather than take them on faith, and it serves both accountability, to funders and frameworks like CSRD or TNFD, and communication to the wider public.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS

  • Build reports on your geo-anchored map and monitoring, so every claim links back to its evidence.
  • Share a live, public-facing project story anyone can open and explore.
  • Report to each sponsor on what their specific contribution achieved.
  • Structure impact reports to support frameworks like CSRD, TNFD, EUDR and the IUCN Global Standard.
  • Replace the static annual PDF with a living report that stays current.

FEATURES

Reports people can check, not just read

Most impact reports ask for trust: a document of numbers and photos, disconnected from where the work actually happened.

Our platform explorer.land builds the report on the map and monitoring beneath it, so every claim carries a link back to its evidence: the project boundary, the data layer, the verified trend. Your funders, auditors and supporters don’t have to believe you; they can open the map and see for themselves.

In a field crowded with unverifiable claims, that’s the difference that earns trust.

Sponsors Management

Funders don’t want a generic annual PDF. They want to see what their support achieved.

The Sponsor Management tool lets you tie contributions to specific projects, areas or outcomes and report back to each sponsor on what they made possible, turning reporting from an obligation into a relationship you can sustain.

Public communication

Your work deserves an audience beyond your funders. Public communication turns your project map and updates into a shareable, public-facing story.  One anyone can open and explore.

Because it’s live and geo-anchored, what you show the public carries the same evidence as your internal reporting: no gap between the story and the proof.

Impact Report

An impact report should stand up to scrutiny. explorer.land builds your report on the monitoring and map beneath it, so every figure and claim links back to its evidence: the boundary, the data layer, the trend. The result reads as proof a funder or auditor can trace, not a narrative they have to trust. Reports are structured to support your obligations under frameworks like CSRD, TNFD, EUDR and the IUCN Global Standard.

I really love the mobile UI! I know that challenge from Terrastories, and I think you’ve done an excellent job approaching it. I played around with the page and map, and as before, experienced that everything is as intuitive as I expect it to be. Really great stuff!

Since engagement in explorer.land, potential clients, and partners are contacting us. It is a wonderful platform with a super-wide network of potential clients and partners. FAQ

What's the difference between impact monitoring and impact reporting?

Monitoring is how you gather and verify evidence that change is happening. Reporting is how you communicate it to a specific audience — a funder, a partner, the public. Reporting depends on monitoring: if the underlying evidence is geo-anchored and verifiable, the report built on it is too.

Can I report at project, landscape and organisation level?

Yes. An impact report is a shareable version of your Theory of Change, and you can produce it for a single project, a whole landscape, or your entire organisation — the same logic, at whatever scale you need to communicate.

Can supporters and the public see the report?

Yes. You can share a live, public-facing version of your project — a page anyone can open and explore — alongside the more detailed reporting you provide to funders.

How do you report to individual sponsors or funders?

Contributions can be tied to specific projects, areas or outcomes, so you can report back to each sponsor on what their particular support achieved, rather than sending everyone the same generic summary.

Is the report a live page or a downloadable document?

It's a living, geo-anchored report that stays current as your project changes — not a fixed annual PDF.

Is reporting included in the free plan?

Mapping and core monitoring tools are free to start. Impact reporting, public communication outputs and sponsor management are part of the paid Report plan — so you can build and verify your project first, then turn on reporting when you're ready.
